Remember wildlife in your will

You can help protect wildlife for the future by making a donation to the Wildlife Trusts in your will.

Making or updating your will can, of course, protect the people you care about, ensure your wishes are carried out, and save tax on what you leave. It can also help others remember the causes you hold dear.

The Wildlife Trusts have been able to do much of their work saving habitats, and species, because people have cared enough about the future to make a will. Many beautiful woodlands, meadows, heaths and coastline habitats are now protected thanks to bequests, both large and small. All support is important.

Here are some examples of how you could make a difference:

  • £500 would buy pond-dipping equipment and other facilities for children
  • £1,000 would enable volunteers to build holts for otters
  • £5,000 would pay for paths and boardwalks for visitors using wheelchairs
  • £10,000 would restore a reserve to its past glory
  • £50,000 could help save land from development - forever

We believe that of all the gifts you could leave in your will, a gift that helps protect the natural world for future generations to enjoy has to be one of the most precious.
